The Tigers wasted no time getting on the scoreboard Monday as Brandon Jochimsen hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the 1st to take a 3-0 lead over Atlanta. Brashear's offense went missing after that as Atlanta began to find ways to score with 2 in the 3rd, 5 in the 4th and 5 in the 5th. Lightning and rain stopped the game in the top of the 5th with Atlanta leading 12-3. In addition to Jochimsen's homer, Quin Allen and Brhter Place also had hits. Place got the start with Colton Sayre and Garrett Housman pitching in relief.
